Beginning June 1st 2011, we have opened a full service grooming shop inside The Dog Haus Dog Daycare located at 410 Atlas Ave. on the east side of Madison. Our newest employee, Whitney, will be handling all the grooming at the daycare. We are excited to expand our services to better meet your needs! Abbey's Clips 'n Snips opened February of 2007. Abbey Strohman, Owner, has had a passion for animals since she was a little girl. It was her dream to open up a grooming spa that would provide an experience that would make all pets feel like they were her own! Abbey graduated from Madison Area Technical College with a Veterinary Technician degree. She then moved to Phoenix, AZ where she earned her grooming certification at the Arizona Grooming Academy. Abbey would love to work with your pet to provide them with a clip 'n snip experience that will have their tail waggin'.

Meet Whitney

Abbey's salon is located inside the Dog Haus daycare where groomer Whitney Rios has been bathing, clipping and snipping dogs since opening in June of 2011. Whitney has had dozens of different types of animals in her life, but dogs have always held a special place in her heart. In the past, she was actively involved in volunteering at the Dane County Humane Society and was working at the Dog Haus before beginning to groom at Abbey's salon. Whitney apprenticed at a grooming salon in Brooklyn, New York, where she was taught how to professionally groom by two veteran groomers. Whitney has also learned a lot from Abbey. Together they share a passion of making each and every dog they care for as comfortable and beautiful as possible!
